CGN Environment Protection Industry Co Ltd will cooperate with the Czech Republic-based Environment Commerce CZ s.r.o. (EC) in sewage treatment.
A cooperation agreement was signed by Shi Bing, senior vice president of CGN, and Georgi Bidenko, executive director of EC, during the 8th Summit of Central and Eastern European Countries & China in Dubrovnik, Croatia, on April 12.
Prior to the signing ceremony, Bidenko discussed the project with Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis, speaking highly of CGN’s professionalism and spirit of openness and cooperation. Babis was particularly pleased with local hi-tech enterprises entering the Chinese market and taking part in its infrastructure construction.
According to agreement, CGN and EC will enjoy in-depth cooperation in the design and construction of sewage treatment plants, as well as introducing small-scale integrated sewage treatment devices and advanced sewage treatment technology.
The first cooperation project is a sewage treatment plant in Xiangyang Hi-tech Development Zone of Hubei province, which is set to process 30,000 tons of waste water daily. It will adopt EC-developed EAA vertical smart sewage treatment technology.
Compared with traditional methods, EAA technology saves space by 2/3 and greatly reduces infrastructure construction needs, thereby shortening the construction period and lowering operation costs.
The outlet water can reach Class-IV surface water quality or higher, which can be used as reclaimed water. An odorless plant area and enclosed landscape design also help to incorporate the concept of ecological sharing.
Moving forward, the two sides will also cooperate in environmentally-friendly and cost-efficient sewage treatment projects in Jiangxi’s Fuzhou and several other locations.
