From August 26, 2016 to August 27, 2016, the 2016 China Integration of Information and Industrialization Conference, themed by “Integration of Manufacturing and Internet Innovation·Development·Transition”, was held in Beijing. Some 2000 representatives from the whole country including leaders from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (hereinafter referred to as MIIT), academicians from Chinese Academy of Engineering (hereinafter referred to as CAE), and industry authoritative experts, financial giants and major medias attended the conference, made thorough discussion over promoting the Integration of Information and Industrialization. The Conference published the list of winners of 2016 Outstanding Contribution Award for Integration of Information and Industrialization. CGN was one of the ten enterprises which won this award in China, and was also the only enterprise in both new energy sector and power generation industry that won this award.

Integration of information and industrialization is the deep combination of information and industrialization on high level, which means following a new path of industrialization through information driving the industrialization and the industrialization promoting the information. The core of integration is to pursue the sustainable development pattern with the supporting of information. This year’s Integration of Information and Industrialization Conference could be called as the annual premier event of manufacturing industry and information industry.

At this conference, the attendees shared the typical experience and major practice in integration of information and industrialization, explored new approaches for innovative development of integration and made proposals for accelerating the development of powerful manufacturing country. Deputy Minister of MIIT Huai Jinpeng, academician Wu Hequan and academician Wu Cheng from CAE, representatives from government, experts from different industries shared and exchanged the opinions on national policies, innovative modes and achievements of integration of information and industrialization.

The selection for this award has been done through many strict processes such as recommendation by CGN, qualification examination by experts group, preliminary examination by experts, internet voting, reexamination by experts, etc. Over 100,000 people participated in the internet voting and attracted broad attention of all circles. Winning such prestigious award indicates that CGN’s achievements in integration of information and industrialization has gained recognitions from MIIT and all circles, and it is the evidence of the long-term contribution and collective wisdom of all employees involved, besides it also proves that CGN has taken the right path, strategy and method all the time in integration of information and industrialization.
