Gao Ligang, male, born in 1965, is a member of the Party Leadership Group.
Gao joined Guang Dong Nuclear Power Joint Venture Co (GNPJVC) in March 1988 and worked successively as the deputy branch manager, branch manager of the technical support branch of the production department, deputy manager of the maintenance department, and manager of the technical department (mainly responsible for the management of production technologies) at GNPJVC from September 1996 to March 2003. He also worked successively as deputy general manager and general manager at Daya Bay Nuclear Power Operations and Management Co from March 2003 to January 2008, and the chairman of the board and general manager at Yangjiang Nuclear Power Co from December 2007 to October 2013. He was appointed general manager at Guangdong Taishan Nuclear Co., Ltd. (now known as Taishan Nuclear Power Joint Venture Co) in December 2007, serving in that capacity until October 2011. Gao also served as senior vice president of CGN from April 2011 to March 2014, and is currently chairman of the board of Taishan Nuclear, a position he has held since December 2007.
Gao obtained a bachelor of engineering degree in power systems and automation from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (formerly known as Huazhong Institute of Technology) in July 1985 and a master of engineering degree in power systems and automation from the North China Institute of Electric Power in January 1988. He was accredited as a researcher-level senior engineer by CGN in December 2001
