CGN won the “Top Ten Excellent Cases” of the Construction of Chinese Enterprises’ Global Identity in 2021.

    On December 6, 2021, the 2021 China Enterprise Global Image Summit Forum hosted by the China International Publishing Group (CIPG) was held in Beijing by the form of online and offline. Mr. Zhang Jianchun, Vice Minister of the Publicity Department of the Central Committee of the CPC, Mr. Tan Zuojun, Deputy Director of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC), Mr. Li Zhaoqian, Vice Chairman and Member of Party Leadership Group of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, and Mr. Du Zhanyuan, Director of CIPG, attended and addressed the forum. Mr. Chen Guodong, Director of the Publicity Bureau of the SASAC, Mr, Li Zhihui, Deputy Director of the External Promotion Bureau of the PublicityDepartment of Central Committee of the CPC, Mr. Gu Xueming, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Co-operation, MOFCOM,Mr. Chen Shi,  Vice Chief Editor of the CIPG and Director of theInternational Communication Development Center, Mr. Yang Jingbai, Director of the Information Center of the SASAC of the State Council, and other leaders of relevant ministries and commissions, representatives of well-known domestic enterprises, think tank experts and media reporters, totallynearly 100 persons attended this activity.



    Themedonpromoting sustainable development and building a better world, the forum released the Global Survey Report on Construction of Chinese Enterprises Global Identity in 2021 and the plan of Sustainable Brand Global Communication, and announced the results of the collection and selection of cases of Chinese Enterprises Global Identity Construction in 2021. The case of “‘Cloud Opening of French Wind Farm Actively displaying the international image of CGN submitted by CGN was rated as the excellent case ofInternational Communication and Innovation of 2021 Chinese Enterprise International Image Construction case, and was selected as theTop Ten Excellent Cases in 2021. At the same time, China Eastern Airlines, CSCEC, China Three Gorges Corporation, China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, CHEC,  CHINA BEIJING TONGRENTANG HOLDINGS CORP, STATE GRID, Sinopec Group, China National Biotech Group and other units have won the Top Ten Excellent Cases.



Virtually attending the event, Mr. Huang Yuanzheng, General Manager of CGNEE, gave a brief introduction onhowCGN had overcome the impact of COVID-19 andaddressed the global topics such as “energy transformation”, “climate change” and “biodiversity”.  He told the international audience the story of CGN's development of clean energy and its co-construction, sharing and win-win benefits with the project site in a relaxed and lively atmosphere, by way of Cloud Opening” which is more easily acceptable to European audiences.

In this case, relying on the wind power project, CGN actively integrated into the local community, changed “green energy” into “tourism resources”, brought new vitality to the local town and promoted the development of local green economy. At the same time, this case also tells the story of CGN helping local ecological protection and actively fulfilling social responsibilities, showing the public the “China's contribution” in Europe's energy transformation, realizing the synchronization between CGN and western mainstream social values, deepening the European people's cognition and understanding of China, and realizing “connectionwith the people” and  while conveying the “shared benefits”.

As a leading clean energy supplier and service provider in the world, CGN has been committed to the development of clean energy such as nuclear energy, wind energy and solar energy, with a majority-owned installed in-service capacity of about 12 GW overseas, providing clean power to 16 countries and regions. Up to now, CGNEE has more than 750 wind turbines in Europe, with a total installed capacity of more than 2.4 GW. In 2020, the on-grid power generationfrom new energy exceeded 5 Twh, which can supply power to 2 million European families, and the green energy created is equivalent to planting more than 13,000 hectares of trees.

In the construction, operation and maintenance of local wind power projects in France, CGN always respects the land planning and animal and plant protection measures advocated by environmental assessment. In the wind farm matrix design, it would rather reduce the installed capacity and spare no effort to protect the sustainable development of biodiversity. Especially for bird protection, CGN strictly abides by the laws and regulations issued by the French Government, continuously monitors each power station, and also installs monitoring and sound alarm equipment to measure the risk of collision according to the species, distance and flight trajectory of birds monitored in real time, so as to start the alarm equipment to avoid collision.

While bringing green power to light up the lights in Europe, CGN attaches great importance to publicizing China's idea, China's wisdom and China's plan. To this end, CGN has carried out Cloud Opening public experience activities in France for two consecutive years, and played Waltz in the wind in Charmont Town, France in 2020; In 2021, the famous French Host Charlotte·Bouteloup was invited to bring the online netizens with immersive experiencein hiking From the wind farm to the windmill mill in Assac townthrough the lens .

The activity received positive feedback from the French Governments and people at all levels. Office de Tourisme Vallé du Tarn & Mont d’Albigeois decided to include Assac Wind Farm in the local Industrial Tourism promotion project of the Tourism Bureau, and carried out two public charitable visit activities in this Summer with the theme ofExploring the Wind Farmjointlywith Assac Municipal Government and CGNEE.

The activity also achieved good international communication results. The Cloud Opening video has been widely spread in more than 100 overseas media outlets and social media in Chinese, English, French and other languages, with an overseas viewing rate of more than 1.2 billion. It is worth mentioning that through the Cloud Opening activity, CGN organized European Z Generation to visit and study in wind farms and remote control centers, and intuitively felt the application of digital technology and artificial intelligence in wind power project management, which not only improved their understanding of Chinese enterprises, it also made the European Z Generation feel China's determination and ability to apply advanced science and technology to the cause of sustainable development. After the event, the European Z Generation positively evaluated the contribution of CGN in helping Europe to save energy, reduce emissions and protect the ecological environment, and made a positive evaluation of China's active leadership in addressing climate change and helping Europe's energy transformation.

After seeing the report and videoof the Cloud Opening activity covered by LeMonde, Mr. Chen Wenxiong, Chairman of the France China Friendship Group of the French National Assembly, said: I didn't know that CGN has made such a significant contribution to energy and ecological transformation in France and even Europe before. I should share the video with more French parliamentarians to let them have a deeper understanding of Chinese enterprises, and look forward to further strengthening cooperation between China and France in the field of environment and biodiversity protection.

In addition, another case of CGN, Lighting up the Light of China Pakistan Friendship with a sentence ofXiè xiè andObrigado, amigo’”, has also won an excellent case ofCross-cultural Integration "in the Construction of Chinese Enterprises Global Identity in 2021. The Forum also held aMicro-Exhibition onthe Construction of Chinese Enterprises Global Identity online and offline. CGN focused on introducing the exploration and practical experience in international image construction, such as overseas social responsibility, cross-cultural integration and biodiversity protection.
