CGN Brazil LDB Wind Power Expansion Project was officially put into operation
The LDB Wind Power Expansion Project which was put into operation is located in Lagoa do Barro, Pioi state, Northeast Brazil, with a total installed capacity of 82.8MW. It is the first Greenland Wind Power Project independently constructed and managed by CGN in Brazil, and the annual power generation is expected to reach 366 million kwh. CGN Brazil Corporation has been working hard to overcome the impact of Covid-19 in the process of project construction, and has tried to effectively control the safety, quality, investment, progress and environment of the project under the premise of comprehensively doing well the epidemic prevention and control work at the project site. The first machine has been built from the concrete engineering to the connecting grid power for 192 days, creating the best construction period for wind turbines of the same type in South America. In addition, the TN Wind Power Project announced on the same day is located in Bahia State in Northeast Brazil, with a total installed capacity of 180MW. It is planned to be completed and put into operation in June 2023, and the annual power generation is predicted to reach 720 million kwh.

Mr. Yang Wanming said that both China and Brazil, as large developing countries, are faced with the common goal of giving consideration to economic development and environmental protection, and there are broad prospects for cooperation in promoting the development of low-carbon transformation. Since entering the Brazilian market, CGN has actively promoted cooperation in photovoltaic and wind power, and has become the fifth largest clean energy supplier in Brazil. The projects successfully put into operation and newly started projects demonstrate the confidence and determination of Chinese enterprises to be good participants and contributors of green development in Brazil, as well as their hope to help the construction of green and low-carbon economy in the two countries through healthy and sustainable local development.
