Aiming at the “dual carbon” goals, CGN focuses on wind, solar, and other renewable energy sources to continuously advance the development of new energy. It leverages its first-mover advantage in offshore wind power to vigorously promote the construction of large-scale new energy bases. Simultaneously, it promotes the integrated development of new energy with emerging industries such as hydrogen energy and energy storage, supporting structural reforms on the supply side of the energy system.
As of the end of 2024, CGN has an installed in-service new energy capacity exceeded 56.83 GW in China, covering 31 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions, ranking among the top in the industry in terms of scale and efficiency. In respect of overseas business, CGN actively responds to the Belt and Road Initiative, holding a controlling stake in nearly 12 GW of operating installed capacity abroad, providing clean electricity to 16 countries and regions including France, Malaysia, and Brazil.
