On September 21, China General Nuclear Power Corporation (CGN) and the Sichuan Provincial People’s Government signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Chengdu. Wang Xiaohui, Secretary of the Sichuan Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Sichuan Provincial People’s Congress, and Shi Xiaolin, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Governor of Sichuan, held talks with Yang Changli, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of CGN, and Pang Songtao, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of CGN, and jointly witnessed the signing of the agreement.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on implementing the guiding principles of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions on Sichuan’s work and the major decisions and plans of the CPC Central Committee; Discussions focused on deepening strategic cooperation during the 15th Five-Year Plan period; further optimizing CGN’s investment layout in Sichuan; advancing clean energy development and construction; strengthening the high-end energy equipment manufacturing industry; building industrial clusters and strengthening industrial chains in key industries such as nuclear medicine; actively cultivating new quality productive forces; and supporting Sichuan in accelerating the building of a modern industrial system.

At the signing ceremony, Ren Jingdong, Vice Governor of Sichuan Province, and Li Yilun, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Senior Vice President of CGN, signed the Strategic Cooperation Agreement Between the Sichuan Provincial People’s Government and China General Nuclear Power Corporation on behalf of both parties. Under the agreement, the two sides will focus on cooperation in key areas such as clean energy, scientific and technological innovation, industrial cluster building and chain strengthening, livelihood protection, and rural revitalization. The partnership aims to promote the growth and expansion of CGN’s business segments in Sichuan and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results while contributing to Sichuan’s high-quality economic and social development.
